| PHP Web Developer » Flying J Communications May 2006 - May 2009 Ogden, Utah |
Lead Developer - Flying J Communications - WIFI Project As the Lead Developer on the WIFI project I report directly to the Project Manager and am responsible for development and implementation of all new technical features built into the Project. I work closely with Business Analysts to ensure the feasibility of feature specifications and that realistic timetables and deadlines are in place. The development cycle is then communicated clearly to all levels of management. Programming (PHP, JavaScript, AJAX and shell scripting) and database development (PostgreSQL, MySQL) is started after proper analysis and documentation is complete. I work through issues that come up directly with the Business Analysts and Management as the Development proceeds - ensuring that there are no surprises for anyone as obstacles are met and conquered. It is also my responsibility to ensure that the total WIFI package is always positively impacted when we introduce new features to our customers. With over 20,000 subscribers and over 200 hot spots across the US and Canada, it is imperative that we always produce a high quality offering. To that end I also work closely with our QA team during the Testing cycle which occurs before each roll-out of new code. Also started application programming with C# and also ASP.NET web development for certain projects. |
